Managed to piece the PDF all together and all cut out too! Just look at this beauty of a fabric from @fabricatemirfield it's so soft and drapy so resorted to using improvised pattern weights 🤣 even the cat thought he was 'helping'

Is anyone else joining in with the sew a long, I'm hoping I can and make the blouse as it's one thing in my wardrobe that I do lack.

My Lotta is all cut out with only scraps to spare, would these beautiful polyester lena work for a face mask or not 🤔 I do like to be matchy matchy with my outfits 🤣

Isn't this fabric just lush?! It's @ladymcelroyfabrics nightingale grove viscose which is available over at @felicity.fabrics ❤️

I didn't go for the pockets on the skirt as I felt they wouldn't look right with it being really drapy so went for in-seam instead as you CAN NOT have a dress without pockets!

I've had a fabulous day of #sewingness today!

✓ Sewn in the waistband and added an quite apt @stitch_collective garment label

✓ Removed excess teeth from the metal zip... Literally like pulling teeth 🤣

✓ Stitching in the Ditch and caught all the waistband 👍

✓ Sewn a button hole... Well Mr Singer did after I out some unfused interface behind so it could be torn off after sewn

✓Opened up the buttonhole and put the Jean button on with no injuries!

✓Finished the hem and topstiched

All that's left to do is the really scary part.... The rivets!!! But that is definitely for a new day!! Any tips on cutting down the standby bits, I can never get the right length on them!

Thank you Philippa @fabricatemirfield for the speedy delivery of the @tillybuttons Lotta Dress 😁

I've already got my pattern pieces cut out and made the necessary adjustment of shortening the sleeves as I fancy bracelet sleeves!

No doubt I'll probably end up ruching them up to my elbows but you now good intentions and all that 🤣

I've already got a couple of fabrics in mind for this dress and can't wait to get started on them, don't you just love a pattern that doesn't need a zip or button closures, quick and satisfying sew for the win!
