Sew Up North Update – Fabulous Fabbadashery!

Hi all!

The big day is creeping up on us swiftly now and yet Sally and I have still not come to the end of our list of fabulously generous sponsors; how amazing is the sewing community?

Our next very generous sponsor are responsible for Becca’s sneaky lunchtime impulse shopping!(Wish i had this near me!!) Halifax is not necessarily the biggest shopping mecca in the world, but The Fabbadashery…..

This little gem of a shop has a fantastic range of goodies to pick from. Originally more geared towards quilters, they now carry a good range of quality dressmaking fabrics as well; Becca has picked up some glorious Kate Moss crepe from them and you’ll see from one of Becca’s flamingo print Agnes top was also a purchase there recently!

They have a good range of hard copy independent patterns too, which I regularly succumb to when popping in to pick up matching thread (no willpower!). They run a regular schedule of classes and there always seems to be someone gathered around the massive table in the second room, chatting, crafting and drinking tea whenever Becca calls in. Sounds just like my ideal place to be!!

Chrissy has very kindly donated to the prize fund again this year; there is a beautiful 2m length of fabric going into the prize pool along with a £15 voucher to spend in the shop. Believe me when I tell you this will not be hard to do!

Thanks Chrissy, you’re amazing!

Sal xx
